This might be the place for you!!! I was originally going to do this as a series of videos, but life got in the way and I just didn't have time to do the work and set up and edit videos all myself. So while there may be some videos on the blog I find I can write articles and take pictures with my phone allowing me to complete the work.
Is this the place for you? If you prefer scrounging junk yards, fabbing parts, and adding performance and reliability then you'll enjoy it here. If you prefer trick parts and everything bright and shiny, maybe not. This blog will fall between rat rods and show cars. We'll spend money where it counts, but otherwise we'll use what we have, or scrounge junk yards and CraigsList. Sometimes we'll fail, sometimes we'll be heros.
Project vehicles you will see here consist of a 1960 Ford Falcon, 1965 Ford F-100, 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1975 Kawasaki Z-1 (yes, bikes too!!!), 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt, 2011 Suzuki TU250X, and finally a 2011 Harley Davidson XL1200N. As you can see, they car lot is full with two vehicles having active modifications and three with plans.
The first article will cover the installation of a Tremec 3550 5-speed behind the 352ci Ford FE in my 1965 Ford F-100. Some things of interest will be parts fabrication to use the hydraulic clutch assembly for a 1957-1960 Ford F-1.
The Chevelle is having a mild restoration at current and we'll have some articles on that in the future. The Falcon is another project that will soon have suspension work, a custom axle (that we 100% put together), and a new floor. The Harley is set up as a cafe racer and has a broken 3rd gear, so a full engine tear down is in the near future. Finally, the little Suzuki will be getting set up to go land speed racing.
Hope you enjoy what I have planned, happy reading!!!
